PRESS INFORMATION
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: May 7, 2021 Join with the Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club (FWARC) and other Bainbridge Island community groups to donate a pint of blood as we all emerge out of the COVID pandemic. First, pre-register:
so the minimum number of 50 interested donors can be determined. Once the minimum number reached, a weekend date will be set for the blood draw team to set up at Island Village Shopping Center on or before October 2021. Donors must be at least 16 years old. Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club has partnered with Madigan Armed Forces Blood Bank Center, which is a tri-service organization that supports the blood requirements for four military hospitals. The Madigan Armed Forces Blood Bank Center ships blood weekly and delivered overseas to areas with high concentrations of deployed troops. The Madigan Armed Forces Blood Bank wishes to thank the Bainbridge Island community and Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club blood drive partners. Blood drive donations will help ensure high quality care of active service members, veterans, military family members, and deployed troops who are in need of medical services.
