Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club/FWARC, was established on April 8, 2021 under Washington State Nonprofit Corporation and granted 501(3)c Status on September 18, 2021

The mission of the Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club is to participate in Emergency and Disaster Communication Service. Including Emergency Relief Personnel Training for Volunteer Team Members (ARES, CARES, CERT, MARS, CAP, S&R and Local, State, Regional National Relief Emergency Disaster Assistant Organization Volunteer Services). FWARC vision is to provide rapid response auxiliary communication equipment and relief manpower to public safety organizations disaster support communications and volunteer relief team communications.

Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club/FWARC, is in need of:


1). VHF and UHF, Simplex and 6 meter Tait Repeater,
2). New VHF, UHF, HF Transceivers,
3). Big Screen Monitor,
4). CPU Server,
5). Multi Arary Antenna,
6). 100 Foot Tower,
7). Reference Books.

The grant funds from ARDC will be used for Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club/FWARC Station and educational training workshops. Training workshops will have the capacity to provide Amateur Radio Academic Instructions and simulated training for members, emergency volunteer relief team responders and middle/senior high school amateur radio students. Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club station will have HF/VHF/UHF for multiple frequency monitor capabilities, Winlink, digital mode capabilities, along with microwave and satellite capacities.

Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club is dedicated to advancement of amateur radio fraternity knowledge, to engage in community public outreach, participate in community and amateur radio events, including foster school students amateur radio education.

Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club, Emergency Volunteer Teams will be trained and ready for deployment to disaster areas and capable of ICS Emergency leadership.

With this grant, Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club Operations Centers will able and ready for Emergency Communications, disaster team infrastructure and training in Puget Sound, Pacific Northwest of Washington State and regional surrounding communities. Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club Members and Teams will be ready.

The grant mission of the Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club, Library Services is to participate in Amateur Radio/AR Fraternity by supporting educational through Fwarc Library Services, for Middle and High School Student, including general public to access Fwarc Library for academic interest in radio technology, electromagnetic research and electronic academic knowledge, for:

1). Non Commercial Educational/NCE FM Broadcast for Bainbridge Island Middle and High School,

Project Vision:

1). Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club, Library Services Intent is to provide a Library Services for the Bainbridge Island Community Residents and School District Students to have access to “Radio Technology and Engineering Publications”.

2). Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club, Library Services Purpose is to provide a source of publications, that will be available to general public and school students, to advance the capacity to research and study “Radio Electronic Technology and Electromagnetic Engineering", with in field and arts of Amateur Radio Fratnerity.

The grant funds from CPB Content and Production will be used for Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club/FWARC Creation of FM Broadcast Station on Brainbridge Island, Washington, with format toward Amateur Radio Industry. FM Broadcasst Station will focus on Amateur Radio Academics, electronic industry representation.

"Proposed" FM NEC Broadcast Station is dedicated to advancement of amateur radio fraternity knowledge, to engage in community public outreach, participate in community and amateur radio events, including foster school students amateur radio education.

With this grant, "Proposed" FM NEC Broadcast Station, Operations Centers will able and ready for offer great Amatur Radio Programing for wide diverse audience in Puget Sound, Pacific Northwest of Washington State and regional surrounding communities.
