The Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club Station Interoperability with Military Auxiliary Radio System (MARS) has announced dates in 2021 during which Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club MARS Members will operate on
60 meters
for interoperability with the https://netcom.army.mil/mars/
Military Auxiliary Radio System (MARS).
NOTE: Some dates coincide with quarterly Department of Defense Communications and Amrmed Force Day

All exercises will begin on channel 1 as the initial calling channel and move to other 60-meter working channels as may be appropriate.
In addition to voice calls, will introduce passing

messages in digital modes to enhance the overall interop experience. Exercises will yield the frequencies to other scheduled exercises or mission activations, which may be called by other agencies for:
Military Auxiliary Radio System Command Interop Support During
Atlantic hurricanes,
Pacific typhoon,
wildfires,
natural disasters,
earthquakes,
search and rescues,
ship distress,
cyclones,
tsunamis and
etc.
Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club MARS Members, to work cooperatively with the Military Auxiliary Radio System Command during the use of the 60-meter interop channels. Military Auxiliary Radio System Command will continue to track our 60-meter usage and activities.
