Radio Scouting is a unique combination of amateur radio with the Scouting Program. Scouts study radio communication and electronics among other things and can earn a number of Radio Scouting Merit Badges like the Communicator Activity Badge which is the badge containing an amateur radio component.
The highlight of the Radio Scouting is Jamboree on the Air, in which Scouts and Guides all over the world speak to each other by means of amateur radio contacts.
Radio Scouting is family affair, working together to help raise awarenes to Scouts of the value in radio communication. When Amateur Radio Fraternity looks at Radio Scouting like this, it reminds us that Radio Scouting is a community function, each radio scout unit is a reflection of its families and charter radio scouting and amateur radio fraternity.
Radio Scouting must adhere to scout safety guidelines at all times to ensure that everyone feels physically, emotionally, and socially safe. Radio Scouting require all scouts to do their best to adhere to Scout Oath & Law:
