Bainbridge Island Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club World Radio Day Dance Party "Making Waves" invites Puget Sound Amateur Radio Communities and every one in the world to discover Bainbridge Island World Radio Day Dance Party "Making Waves" for romanic island day and evening of dance. The Bainbridge Island Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club, is focused on the enjoyment of dance is good for young at heart and family fun.
World Radio Day to raise greater awareness among Bainbridge Island on the importance of radio, to encourage decision-makers to establish and provide access to information through radio, and to enhance networking and international cooperation among broadcasters.
World Radio Day was proclaimed at the 36th session of UNESCO’s General Conference in 2011. Then unanimously endorsed by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012. The 13 February was specifically chosen for World Radio Day as United Nations Radio was established on this date in 1946.
