On March 7, a new schedule for Trains 1/2, The Sunset Limited, will be placed into effect in an effort to more accurately align the schedule of the train with actual operating conditions. The schedule changes will decrease the amount of time allotted to turn the equipment at LAX which will introduce a fourth set of equipment in the rotation. Because this fourth set of equipment increases the equipment requirement for service, the consist of the train will be adjusted to spread the same amount of revenue cars among the four sets of equipment.
