New Appointment, Sr. Manager and Special Trains

I am pleased to announce that effective immediately, Billie Ernest has accepted the position of Sr. Manager – Special Trains. In this new position, Billie will be responsible for the coordination of all private car movements, charter trains, test trains, special equipment moves and all other special car or equipment events. In an effort to streamline our operation, we have combined the former charter train group with the private car staff.

Donna Myers, Gwen Barringer and Sheila Marlowe will report to Billie in order to better facilitate the coordination of all special moves and to insure that the handling of these moves are seamless. Billie has been handling special moves for over the past 5 years on my staff and she has done an exceptional job. She is well respected by her peers at Amtrak, as well as her counterparts with our freight partners and by the private car community.
