    offers rides on a historic trolley car in the grounds of the hotel complex.

  • Dollywood Express
    3 ft (914 mm) gauge steam hauled railway some 5 miles (8 km) in length in the Dollywood Theme Park, Pigeon Forge.
    Operates whenever the park is open, that is most days from April to December.

  • East Tennessee and Western North Carolina Railroad
    3 ft (914 mm) gauge railway some 2 miles (4 km) in length in the Doe River Gorge, near Elizabethton.
    Diesel or battery electric hauled.
    The trains run mainly in conjunction with Adventure Quest activities in the Gorge, but occasional public runs and private charters are available.

  • Lookout Mountain Incline Railway
    Funicular cable railway linking Chattanooga to the summit of Lookout Mountain.
    Operates daily throughout the year except Christmas Day and Thanksgiving.

  • Memphis Trolleys
    Historic trams (trolleys) on 3 routes in downtown Memphis.
    Operate daily throughout the year.

  • Mud Island Monorail
    Suspended monorail connecting downtown Memphis to the Mud Island River Park.
    Operates daily, mid April to October.

  • New River Railway
    Hunstville to Devonia, about 31 miles (50 km).
    Standard gauge, diesel hauled.
    Operates weekends and some Fridays, May to November

  • Secret City Scenic Excursion
    Oak Ridge Heritage Center to Elza, about 7 miles (11 km).
    Standard gauge, diesel hauled. Operates typically two Saturdays each month, every weekend in October, and by private charter.
    Inclusive dining trains operate at certain times.

  • Tennessee Central Railway Museum
    Nashville to Cookeville, about 90 miles (145 km) on the tracks of Nashville and Eastern. Standard gauge, diesel hauled.
    Operates typically one or two Saturdays each month, either to Cookeville or a shorter trip to Watertown, about 45 miles (72 km).
    The initial 32 mile (51 km) section from Nashville to Lebanon is also served by Music City Star
    Commuter trains.

  • Tennessee Valley Railroad
  • Chattanooga Railway Museum
    To Summerville GA, about 50 miles (80 km) on the tracks of the Chattooga and Chickamauga Railway, which are reached via the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum's own tracks and those of the East Chattanooga Belt Railway.
    Standard gauge.
    Short trips from Chattanooga to Missionary Ridge GA operate daily from March to October, weekends in November and Saturdays in December; diesel hauled.
    Short trips from Chattanooga to Chickamauga GA operate on Saturdays from June to mid November; diesel hauled June to September, steam hauled October and November.
    The whole line is covered by a steam hauled excursion typically on two days during the course of the year.
    In addition, there are other special events and the possibility of private train hire.
  • Cambria
    Near Etowah, to Copperhill, about 25 miles (40 km).
    Standard gauge, diesel hauled.
    Operates 2 to 4 days each month from April to November.
    Short trips from Cambria to The Loop, near Farmer, operate most weekends during this period and daily in May, June, July and early November.

  • Three Rivers Rambler
    Knoxville to Holston River, about 5=C2=BD miles (9 km) on the tracks of Knoxville and Holston River.
    Standard gauge, steam or diesel hauled.
    Operates weekends late April to October, and during December.

    NATIONAL TRAIN DAY MISSION STATEMENT

    State Of Tennessee National Train Day Association herein establishes Statewide Rail Line Community National Train Day Events, under the National Train Day Resolution established goals that contribute to enrichment of rail line communities ofState Of Tennessee toward our mission and organizational development:

  • To use State Of Tennessee National Train Day Association to promote increase knowledge and understanding of Tennesse State rail line community, as in railway arts, literature, culture and railway transportation importance to our economy, including our connection to National Railway System;

  • To use State Of Tennessee National Train Day Association to develop a "Awareness of State Of Tennessee Rail Line Communities" and importances of passenger and freight services throughout State Of Tennessee Rail Line Communities;

  • To use State Of Tennessee National Train Day Association to expand all Rail Line Communities National Train Day Events in State Of Tennessee by: education, citizens awareness, business opportunities, technical research applications and mutual understandings within our local, regional, national and private railway servives.

  • To build upon a framework of past and present technological advancements towards achieving a better environmental utilization of our railways that benefits each citizen's requirements for transportation needs in a green environment less dependent on fossil fuels thru National Train Day Celebration in State Of Tennessee.

    STATE OF TENNESSEE recognizing the vast diversity, economic development, productivity and contributes to Tennessee's growth that railway transportation system, networks and services has provided State Of Tennessee. Where our citizens and commerce needs for effective and efficient railway transportation throughout the North American Continent, keeps this great State a spirit among international and national economy moving, and strengthens the State of Tennessee's mobility and security.

    During the STATE OF TENNESSEE RAILWAY TRANSPORTATION MONTH and during Tennessee's Railway Transportation Day, all Tenessee's Railways, including All Railroads and North American Continent Railway Systems, Private and Public Passenger are encourage to board trains of all kinds past and present traveling to the (STATE'S "EVENT THEME") in Tennesse. Celebrate with the citizen of Tennessee how modern railway transportation has transformed this State and recognize the men and women who have contributed to its progress. As the Tennessee renews the commitment to increasing railway transportation productivity and commerce of all kinds to keeping State of Tennessee railway transportation system on the leading edge of importance as the (STATE'S "EVENT TEME").

    (YOUR CITY OR STATE) CENTURY OF RAILWAY TRANSPORTATION system of commerce and productivity transports our citizens and delivers a wide range of goods throughout the State of Tennessee to the Nations of the North American Continent and the world imports and exports. In times of national and state concerns of the century, the railway transportation system also moved troops, passengers and carried materials and general cargo in war, in disasters, in peace time tranquilly efficiently and effectively. The State of Tennessee's Heritage in preserving and enhancing the next railway century of transportation systems. Rail line community commerce resources makes the railway infrastructure, to facilitates growth in business and industry, creates employment opportunities, secures the State of Tennessee future, and improves the quality of life for citizens of State of Tenessee and all rail line communities served.

    TO SUSTAIN STATE OF TENNESSEE RAILWAY HERITAGE & FUTURE ADVANTAGES,must continue to invest in State and improve all rail line communities in Tennessee's railway transportation systems. By enhancing existing rail line community tracks, rail yard, locomotives, freight and passenger railcars, with connecting transit centers to highways, waterways, and airports, to improve fuel-efficiency and locomotive emissions reduction. The State of Tennessee has the determination to foster railway programs and services to work towards improving all kinds of railway commerce, protecting the city's environment, and furthering State of Tennessee railway economy.

    AS PART OF TENNESSEE'S RAILWAY EFFORTS,the State has announced initiative to reverse the growing dependence on oil by developing all transportation technology and services (including railway services). To produce commercially accepted bio fuels, encourage the development hydrogen fuel cells, to power the new generation of automobiles and trucks with no air pollution emissions. The State's new policy commitment make railway transportation possible for new and emerging business opportunities to be recognized, that allow the citizens of Tennessee great flexibility in freight and passenger choices, methods and vehicles of transportation, whether by engineering design of automobiles, passenger ship and boats, airplane or railway services.

    THE GREAT (STATE'S "HERO") is the name honored by citizens of State of Tennessee for the spirit is still alive, working towards strengthening environmental protections throughout city by improving railway transportation systems and services. Railway Transportation was designed to increase mobility of citizens while maintaining the flow of freight goods and passenger services crossing Tennessee connecting rail line communities; our comprehensive city transportation plan includes improving railroad and railway infrastructure and services of all kinds. State of Tennessee is a State of determinations to make (STATE'S "HERO") proud that Tennessee has become a (STATE'S " EVENT THEME"). By this spirit of Tenessee welcomes historical or new, of all kinds, passenger and freight, private railcars, railway event and tour, corporate, steam power, and museum trains from all parts of the North American Continent or the world to signal train's conductor's call: "ALL BOARD" next stop (STATE'S "EVENT THEME").

    On January 19, 2011 State of Tennessee National Train Day Association began taking up the challenge to opening the "1st Public National Train Day Event" for State of Tennessee and Assisting in organizing rail line community event throughout State of Tennessee.

    State of Tennessee National Train Day Association will raise vital funds for Statewide National Train Day Events.

    State of Tennessee National Train Day Association will provideState of Tennessee Rail Line Communities, with assistance to establish, organize, and coordinate visiting tracked exhibits and other activities for a successful event.

    State of Tennessee National Train Day Association has a commitment to National Train Day mission goals and supporting the resolution established by National Train Day Objectives.

    The expected cost of the Statewide National Train Day Events is enormous. State of Tennessee National Train Day Association would greatly appreciate any assistance's to help in reaching the invested mission goals. Donation will bring State of Tennessee National Train Day Association closer to it mission goal to help rail line communities of State of Tennessee participate in National Train Day Celebration.
