Friends of the 261 has created a memorable, five night and four day journey to the “Big Sky Country” of Montana's "Rocky Mountains" for your travel pleasure and sightseeing enjoyment aboard two private luxury railcars. Join the rail line community experience and journey to be long-remembered for its accommodations to the “Glacier National Park Gateway” , "Flathead Valley" and Whitefish, Montana's, Historical Train Station.

The "Minnesota River" and "Lamberts Point" cars will be positioned on “Empire Builder Transcontinental Route Completed on January 6, 1893 at Scenic, Washington ” while travels across the plains and mountains of western United State. Inaugurated in 1929, the “Empire Builder” has been in continuous operation under the auspices of the Great Northern Railway, Burlington Northern Santa Fe and Amtrak since its inception this transcontinental route is considered one of America’s scenic and historic railway's.

Located 25 miles from Glacier Park Lodge and a short walk to Whitefish Lake Golf Club,the lodge offers a shuttle to downtown merchants and entertainment, including Flathead County Transit and Taxi Services for other transportation requirement, along with amenities such to indoor swimming pool, outdoor hot tubs, dry sauna, tennis court and a full service restaurant lounge.

The exclusive trip offers private sleeping accommodations on board the train, delicious meals prepared and served in the glass enclosed dome car, beverage and tempting snack service and access to the open air platform situated on the rear of the rearmost car.
