Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club/FWARC was established April 8, 2021 as an independent and separate 501(C)3 organization, the Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club Foundation administers programs to support the "Electronic Spectrums, electromagnetic telemetry educational technologies.

The Foundation supports the advances in Radio Technologies and Historical Preservation in:

  • Electronic Arts,
  • Spectrums Telemetry Science,
  • Societal Benefits Of Community Amateur Radio,
  • Radio Affiliation Services,
  • Emergency Communication Services,
  • Fort Ward Naval Radio Station Museum,
  • Fort Ward Naval Radio Station Preservation.

    By awarding financial grants and scholarships to individuals and organizations in support of their charitable, educational and scientific efforts.

    Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club Foundation is funded entirely by the generous contributions from:

  • Licensed Radio Amateurs,
  • Community Friends of FWARC,
  • Supportive Business Entities,
  • Affiliated Organizations.

    Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club Foundation is governed by member volunteer Board of Directors, the FWARC Foundation is devoted to providing valuable programs to serve all Amateur Radio Fraternities and affiliations.

  • Foundation Board of Directors are nominated and elected by the FWARC Board of Directors.
  • Foundation Officers are elected by the FWARC Foundation Board.
